About me

I am an intelligence analyst and political risk consultant. I have been covering political and military developments in the MENA region and Sub-Saharan Africa for over a decade. My focus lies in the analysis of Al-Qaeda and Islamic State VEOs within the Sahel region, alongside armed political factions and self-defence groups that operate in the same area.

I have contributed to several regional and international media outlets, publishing in Arabic, English, and French.

Currently, I provide intelligence and due diligence reports to companies based in London and Lisbon, assisting them in making strategic decisions and forming partnerships. I also provide travel risk analyses to my clients operating in Nigeria, Djibouti, and Sudan.

I have also worked as an investigative journalism consultant for Open Democracy for over four years, training over 70 journalists and activists from across the MENA region in investigative techniques and cybersecurity.
